About ThermalCrop

Building the fastest, most private thermal shipping label utility on the web. No subscriptions, no installations, and zero server uploads.

Our Story & Purpose

Small e-commerce sellers, marketplace merchants on eBay and Etsy, and independent fulfillment operators face a frustrating daily problem: major postage carriers still generate shipping labels and packing slips on standard 8.5×11 inch Letter sheets.

When sellers invest in fast, ink-free 4×6 thermal printers (like Rollo, Munbyn, or Zebra), they are left with limited options: manually taking screenshots in Adobe Acrobat (which produces blurry, unreadable barcodes), cutting labels out with scissors, or paying expensive $10–$30 monthly subscriptions for clunky cloud converters that require uploading private customer shipping data to remote servers.

We built ThermalCrop to solve this once and for all: a completely private, instantaneous, browser-based tool that crops any 8.5×11 PDF into an exact 4×6 thermal label (288×432 pt) with mathematically pure vector barcode quality.

Our Core Engineering Principles

100% Client-Side Privacy

Your customer names, shipping addresses, and tracking numbers are your business. Every PDF operation executes inside your web browser via WebAssembly. Nothing touches our servers.

Pure Vector Barcodes

We don't take screenshots or rasterize barcodes into 72 DPI fuzzy images. We extract native PDF Form XObjects so barcode lines print at your printer's full 203 or 300 DPI resolution.

Multi-Page Batch Efficiency

Whether you have a 1-page USPS Click-N-Ship label or a 50-page multi-order batch from eBay or Etsy, ThermalCrop splits sheets (including 2-Up formats) in seconds.

Hardware Compatibility

Built and calibrated for all standard direct thermal printers, including Rollo, Munbyn, Zebra, Brother, DYMO, Jadens, and Phomemo.

How It Works Under the Hood

When you drop a PDF into ThermalCrop, our client-side JavaScript engine reads the PDF structure locally. It detects bounding boxes of labels, separates carrier receipts and instructions, applies optional quiet-zone margins (10 pt or 14 pt inset to avoid feed-roller clipping), and generates a compliant PDF specification ready for one-click printing.
